GO AND LOOK FOR YOUR BROTHER
If you read the book of Luke 15 which talks about a man and his two sons, you realized that we mostly focused on the son that has left home forgetting to talk about the one that was in the house.
The question we need to ask ourselves is, WHY DIDNT THE SON IN THE HOUSE GO OUT AND LOOK FOR HIS BROTHER?
Most of us are like the son in the house, as far as we’ve accepted Christ and feel comfortable in the Fathers house, we don’t bother about our brothers and sisters that have left home.
We feel they have decided to leave home and wallow in the world so we don’t care.
Yes, he was in the house enjoying himself but have no thought of his brother that is eating and dinning with pigs ( prostitution, homosexuals, thieves etc) and am sure he wished his brother never returns home so that he can inherit everything.
Am sure if the brother in the house were to go out and look for his brother, he would have returned home long ago.
Am sure the brother in the world wished he could return home but he was full of guilty conscience thinking the Father is angry or will not accept him back. If not because of the Holy Spirit that has convicted this guy to return home, like he would have died in his sin.
He left home as a son and wants to return home as a slave with slave mentality but his Father still welcome him as His son that was lost and found.
When was the last time you spoke to someone about Christ?
When Jesus saw the multitude He said “The harvest is plenty but the laborers are few”.
He who win souls is wise.
May the Lord Bless us and give us the spirit of boldness and power to go and bring our brothers and sisters back home. Amen.
